Company Profile:Bushells Bakery Ltd was established in November 1883, in Dukes Head Street, Lowestoft. (Shop front c1900) In those days, there were lots of bakers, all vying for the same customers, so to survive, you had to offer good wholesome, value for money products. The motto was, and still is, "you only get out as good as you put in". The original shop and bakery were demolished in the early 1960s as part of a local road improvement scheme. The bakery was moved to its present site in 1962. Now, Bushells has six shops in Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth, employs 36 people and serves a number of other wholesale, catering and retail customers in the area.
